HR 1797 passes House of Representatives 228-196

The vote results are here.  The bill, termed the “Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act” has very little chance of reaching a vote or passing the Senate.

As I’ve written here before, I think a re-tooling of concept behind this bill would increase its chance of subsequent success in court.  However, even those changes are generally unlikely to receive approval, at least in this environment, from either the U.S. Senate or President.
